Bali Beach Resort Introduces a Wellness Sanctuary Inspired by the Seaside Setting, Embracing the Powers of Marine Treasures From the Indian Ocean
NUSA DUA, BALI -- (Marketwired) -- Nov 09, 2015 -- Surrounded by a lush traditional Balinese garden, The Ritz-Carlton, Bali introduces its signature spa, the resort's harmonious center where nature, culture, tradition, and spirituality bring balance to the external and internal worlds. Capturing the luxury resort's coastal surroundings, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Bali blends the finest qualities of indigenous natural ingredients from the Indian Ocean with ancient Balinese methods and modern techniques, to offer a distinctive wellness experience that is truly Balinese in nature.
"Taking inspiration from the Indian Ocean, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Bali seamlessly infuses the theme of water and healing resources of the sea throughout every element of the spa experience, creating a completely rejuvenating spa immersion," says Mr. Karim Tayach, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Bali. "Water therapies and therapeutic ingredients coupled with the timeless charm of Indo-Balinese hospitality bring guests to a level of renewal they could only have imagined."
In Bali, the sea is revered for its transformative powers, and has long been regarded as a powerful source of energy, healing and rejuvenation as the birthplace of the life on earth. Inspired by this credence, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Bali harnesses the power of the sea to create a sanctuary of renewal and blissful relaxation. Drawing from time-honored Balinese therapies, the spa's signature treatments use two of the Indian Ocean's most life-giving natural products: seaweed and pearl. Rich in vitamins and minerals, seaweed is prized for its rejuvenating properties used as a strengthening agent and exfoliator for the skin, while pearl has traditionally been used as a cosmetic by royal families in Asia to improve the skin's radiance.
Inspired by traditional Sanskrit stories of the Balinese ancient culture, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Bali immersion begins with an orientation of Balinese wellness and traditional therapies in the spa's open-air lobby. Here, resort guests are welcomed to refresh both mind and body with a signature ocean essence tea, followed by an introduction of the spa's signature therapies and ingredients by their very own Balinese wellness master. Drawing from their wisdom of Balinese traditions and modern treatments, the wellness masters will recommend the most suitable treatment to achieve guests' desired results, providing one-on-one consultation to evaluate the needs of the soul and skin.
Guests are invited to revel in time honored Balinese-inspired treatments in the wellness center, where 14 free-standing treatment rooms, including four spa villas, have been designed to capture a new level of revitalization and renewal. Each treatment room and spa villa is thoughtfully named after Sanskrit, the official language of Hinduism. Special words and phrases that symbolize heaven, such as 'Santhi' meaning peace, and 'Sama Asthana' meaning tranquil palace, are applied to identify each room. Specially created for couples, the spa villas feature a private Balinese bathing pool, inspired by the Royal bathing area in the ancient Balinese Kingdom, an open-air relaxing area, outdoor shower overlooking a natural limestone cliff, and a separate changing room.
Signature treatments at The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Bali evoke a sense of stillness, making the most of the natural healing ingredients sourced from the sea. The spa also specializes in other enhancing experiences including spa experiences for the entire family, as well as soothing Ritz-Carlton Aromatic Soaks, the perfect start to any treatment. With these aromatic bathing rituals, guests of our Bali family hotel experience a glorious sensory escape as they immerse into a relaxing and invigorating bath using luster pearl or refreshing sea-mint aromatics. Families can also enjoy a world of relaxation and tranquility with the 'Mom, Dad, and Me,' treatment, providing full body treatments and aromatic baths for parents, as well as a shoulder and neck massage paired with activities for kids.
To awaken and heighten the senses, the spacious spa is also comprised of a Hydro-Vital pool, featuring five sections to focus on back, neck, foot, and leg muscle stress release; and separate female and male wet area to create a relaxing state of wellbeing, offering a warm whirlpool, a cool plunge pool, steam and sauna rooms, and a luxurious shower room. Guests are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior to their treatment, utilizing hydro-therapy to open up pores and further facilitate the body's absorption of spa products during their spa treatments. The Hydro-Vital pool system offers overall serenity, reflexology for the soles, body rejuvenation, de-stressing, and complete relaxation. To compliment your experience, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Bali has additional facilities that include a 24-hour fitness center, yoga studio, and hair salon.
