New Payment Types and Growing Security Concerns Drive Genius(R) Customer Engagement Platform(R) Adoption
ORLANDO, FL -- (Marketwired) -- Aug 03, 2015 -- Cayan, The Payment Possibilities Company™, announced significant momentum as brand name retailers integrate with the Genius® Customer Engagement Platform®. The number of Cayan Genius lane contracts grew nearly 400 percent year-over-year from June 2014, with major retailers like PUMA, Harley Davidson, City Gear, Stuart Weitzman, Sam Moon and Cycle Gear joining the growing list of Cayan Genius customers. To date, Genius has more than 12,000 installations across the United States.
In addition to working with these well-known retailers, Cayan has also partnered with Aramark, a leading provider of foodservices, facility management and merchandise for professional baseball, football, basketball and hockey teams and their retail stores. With this partnership and others, Genius is now deployed by dozens of major league sports teams in stadiums and arenas across the United States and was the retail payments provider for major sporting events in February and July of this year.
"With rapid Cayan Genius adoption, our vision for the Genius Customer Engagement Platform is coming to life," says Henry Helgeson, Chief Executive Officer, Cayan. "Three years ago, we anticipated a large shift in the payments and retail ecosystems. Our goal with Genius was to develop a cloud-based payments system that would help businesses and point of sale developers navigate the changes that lied ahead. Today, Genius is future-proofing both large and small businesses across the United States."
Cayan's customer momentum announcement comes on the heels of Cayan announcing its official Level 2 EMV Certification. EMV (also known as chip cards) is one of the emerging payment types Genius can support, helping large retailers prepare for a major industry change well before the October 1 EMV liability shift deadline.
"The payment world as we know it is changing. Last year's wave of high profile data breaches, coupled with the emergence of new payment types like EMV, Apple Pay and now Android Pay, means businesses are now demanding ultimate payment flexibility and security," says Ken Paull, Chief Revenue Officer, Cayan. "Cayan Genius delivers exactly this for businesses today, and is also capable of scaling with businesses as they grow and as the marketplace evolves."
Cayan and the Genius Platform will be on display at the company's RSPA RetailNOW booth #609 August 3-5, 2015 in Orlando. Details about Cayan and Genius can be found at http://www.cayan.com/genius.
