Successful apartment developments are no longer just about the design of the building, according to a new Australian property market report released today, by townplanning and urban design firm RobertsDay.
The Streetwise apartments: thinking beyond the building report reviews international research and includes interviews with Australian property industry developers and other experts.
“The major shift towards apartment living means an unparalleled period of change and opportunity for the Australian property development industry,” says Deon White, RobertsDay managing director.
However, White says that it’s just as important for developers to create a sense of place and neighbourhood in apartment developments as it is in greenfield developments.
