The enhancement of the luxury resort includes an all-new restaurant and bar, transformation of the lobby, new retail outlets, and a spa makeover. The $8 million project begins summer of 2015 and is set for completion in the fourth quarter.
Fort Lauderdale's Newest Dining Destination and Marketplace
The new restaurant and bar will welcome both locals and guests alike, with a fresh, modern ambiance, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and perfect setting for people watching. Historical aspects of the area harkening back to the Prohibition era, the days when Fort Lauderdale was known as a bootlegger's paradise, are the inspiration for the overall concept. Plans for the to-be-named restaurant include an indoor-outdoor bar, a robust rum program, a well-curated wine and beer list and an inspired seafood-centric menu. For guests on-the-go or locals looking for a quick bite, the restaurant will also incorporate a chic, yet casual marketplace café and bistro.
Elevated Lobby and Shopping Experience
Catering to all types of travelers, the main lobby is set to transform into an interactive entertainment area featuring media walls, table top games and secluded areas to relax and enjoy a daytime cup of coffee or an evening libation. Additional retail shops will highlight the space with one of the largest spaces becoming the home to the Island Company, an island style resort wear shop featuring accessories, clothing, swimwear, vintage sunglasses and more.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Fort Lauderdale will receive a complete makeover beginning in early summer. The renovation further seeks to enhance the true essence of Fort Lauderdale's beachfront setting through design, colors, textures and tones, setting the spa apart as one of Fort Lauderdale's destination spas. A hair salon, steam room and sauna will be the newest additions, with additional transformations throughout the space and treatment rooms, welcoming guests to a modern, yet contemporary relaxation haven. Throughout the renovation, spa treatments will be available at an alternate location.
