Friday, March 20th, 2015 - Rossi Boots

Rossi Boots will take centre stage at Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival this weekend when the iconic company’s footwear is featured on the catwalk at a show by Australian designer Strateas.Carlucci.

Male models will wear two styles of Rossi’s motorcycle boots on the runway at the designer’s menswear show on Saturday, March 21.

The boots were hand-picked by the runway show’s creative director Mark Vassallo and fit with the edgy, timeless and tailored elements seen throughout Strateas.Carlucci designs.

Rossi Boots Chief Executive Officer Neville Hayward said the inclusion of the company’s boots at the renowned festival further highlights how the company is moving into the fashion sphere.

“For more than a century, Australian workers across a wide variety of workplaces have come to rely on– and love– their Rossis,” Mr Hayward said.

“But Rossi’s designs are also making a name for themselves in the fashion world. They are increasingly being considered as a timeless choice for day-to-day wear with our hallmarks of quality, durability and comfort resonating beyond the workplace.

“To have our boots shown at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival illustrates this and gives us a great new platform to showcase Rossi boots.”

Rossi’s biggest export market is Denmark, where stylish Danes have made the boot a hit on the streets of Copenhagen. In Japan, fashion magazines promote Rossi Boots as sought-after menswear and womenswear options.

The company’s new women’s range of boots, Musk, launched last year and a leopard-print addition will hit stores next month.

Australian designers Peter Strateas and Mario-Luca Carlucci founded Strateas.Carclucci. The duo won the prestigious Tiffany & Co National Designer Award as part of the 2014 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
