HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Grupo Gallegos, a creatively driven, independent advertising agency, recently recognized as one of AdAge's "Agencies to Watch 2015," is pleased to announce the hiring of Rachel Gilmour as Group Account Director.
"Great account leadership requires a balance between understanding creative and a client's business; we think we've found that in Rachel," shared John Gallegos, Founder/CEO of Grupo Gallegos. "She has extensive experience as a global business lead at some of the most recognized agencies in the industry and has shown impressive creative vision and client leadership throughout her career."
As Group Account Director, Rachel will lead the JCPenney business. She has 13 years of experience leading brands on a global scale and in a broad range of categories, from retail to automotive to spirits.
"I was attracted to Grupo Gallegos and the agency's leadership, reputation, and approach to helping clients win today's US Hispanic consumer," shared Rachel. "I'm excited about joining the agency and being a part its continued growth."
Before joining Grupo Gallegos, Rachel held the role of Team Director at BBH London, where she led the Bailey's brand. Her experience on Bailey's included partnering with Diageo and BBH offices worldwide for a major global re-launch. During her time there she also led the Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Alpen, and Bang & Olufsen accounts. Prior to BBH, Rachel was an Account Director at Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy, leading the Debenham's retail business, as well as the Department of Health and Splenda accounts. Carlos was a key member of the team that launched the recent Carnival Cruise Lines campaign, "I love you, but..." He also worked on the award-winning California Milk Processor Board campaign "Bedtime Stories," which has been recognized with a Gold Effie and Bronze Cannes Lion, among others.
