Tuesday, April 27th, 2010 - Stevie Awards
FAIRFAX, VA--(Marketwire) - The Stevie® Awards today announced the names of seven executives who will chair language-specific judging committees for The Seventh Annual International Business Awards.

The International Business Awards (www.stevieawards.com/iba) honor achievements in the workplace worldwide. All organizations worldwide may submit nominations -- public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Last year's IBAs attracted entries from organizations in more than 40 nations.

While most entries in the past to The International Business Awards were in English, entries in other languages were permitted but rare. The addition of the new language-specific judging committees should encourage organizations around the world to submit entries to the IBAs in their own languages. The seven executives who have been named to chair and form the language-specific judging committees are:

Chinese: Fredy Bush, Chairman and CEO, Xinhua Sports & Entertainment Limited, Beijing, China

French: Paula Shannon, Chief Sales Officer, Senior VP & General Manager, Lionbridge, Montreal, Canada

German: Heiko Hubertz, CEO and Founder, Bigpoint GmbH, Hamburg, Germany

Korean: Yoon Eun-Key, President, Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies (aSSIST), Seoul, South Korea

Japanese: Hironori Aihara, Chairman, Transcutaneous Technologies Inc., Tokyo, Japan.

Portuguese: Valeria Perito, CEO, Ketchum Estrategia, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Spanish: Luis Miguel Pena, Director of Corporate & Litigation Communications, LLORENTE & CUENCA, Madrid, Spain

Rory J. Cowan, Chairman and CEO of Lionbridge, is the honorary chairperson for all IBA judging in 2010.

The 2010 International Business Awards will be presented this fall in Istanbul, Turkey and will recognize work since 1 January 2009. All organizations worldwide may participate -- public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The entry deadline is 12 May. Late entries will be accepted through 9 June, and results will be announced in early July.
