Hamburg Marriott Hotel Embraces 'Travel Brilliantly' Concept
HAMBURG, GERMANY -- (Marketwired) -- There will be no barriers for those looking to travel brilliantly in Hamburg, Germany, once current renovation of the Hamburg Marriott Hotel's ground floor is completed early this spring. As construction roadway barriers went into place around the hotel on Jan. 6, renovations began, all aimed at keeping the iconic Hamburg City Center destination on the cutting edge of today's hospitality and a defining statement to the future of travel.
Opening up the hotel interior to coincide with Marriott's "Travel Brilliantly" concept, work first began in the hotel's ballroom and will continue through the foyer, reception and lobby areas until finally completing the project in The Pianobar, all in about eight weeks.
Bringing a fresh look reflecting the "Travel Brilliantly" concept, the hotel will welcome guests from all over the world and Hamburg residents to enjoy brilliant hospitality à la Marriott in an even more open and interactive atmosphere. The hotel's prime downtown Hamburg location near Gänsemarkt has been shaping and invigorating the ABC district for over 26 years. In 1988 the house was established as the first Marriott hotel in Germany and has since remained a leader in hospitality through large and small renovations.
The renowned Tassilo Bost is lead interior designer for the project which is estimated at 1.2 million Euros. Starting with an optical makeover that includes a modern color setting, exclusive furniture and decorative elements, the renovation will also render substantial physical changes as the ground floor is transformed into a 'Great Room,' offering guests a stylish and interactive space that will meet the latest technical demands of busy travelers. The hotel's conference facilities are also included in the renovation and will bring to life Marriott's progressive "Future of Meetings" concept, a move that will quickly distinguish the hotel as a leader in the conference industry and one of the prime venues in Hamburg. Bost is noted for his work at impressive hotels such as the Autograph Collection® Hotel am Steinplatz in Berlin, which is part of Marriott International, as well as for the Hamburg Hotel Le Meridien.
