South Australian organic skin and hair care specialist Greenlab Organics has been named as a finalist in the Sustainable Beauty Awards to be announced next week in Paris (24 November).
The firm, which has its laboratory and Abache salon near the beach at Glenelg, formulates, produces and packages a full range of skin care and hair care products that are all certified organic by Australian Certified Organic, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), ACO Cosmos Organic, and Cosme Bio Certified Organic.
Greenlab Organics chief scientist Peter Francis said that the awards reception would honour those who are making a valuable contribution to the sustainable development of the beauty industry. Entry to the Sustainable Beauty Awards is by invitation only and winners receive global exposure and industry recognition of their sustainability achievements.
Greenlab Organics was nominated for the Green Formulations Award for the following four hair care innovations:
- Thermal Active Repair Drops
- Hair Repair Masque

“We are the only entrant that has scientific evidence that every one of our products is certified organic across multiple certifying bodies around the world," Mr Francis said.
“Here at Greenlab Organics we are proud to receive this recognition for our hard work and consistent efforts to introduce high end hair care with a sustainable and eco-friendly ethos. As pioneers in this field, we feel humbled by this nomination and strive to continue to deliver salon-perfect hair, with our eco-perfect promise."
