Sales Merc Pty Ltd has appointed a new Vice President, Ken Hambling, to complement the existing team and provide focus on Strategic Consultancy, Governance, Technical Architecture and Technology Strategy as part of the broader Sales Merc Pty Ltd mandate.   

Ken worked for IBM Australia for over 15 years until his retirement in July 2013.  At that time he was an Executive IT Architect and the Global Business Services Architecture Practice Lead.  He held Senior Certification as an IT professional within IBM and was certified by The Open Group at Distinguished Chief/Lead Architect level.  His role was focused on two major areas:

1.    Leading/supporting significant (AU$100 - $700mil) complex transformation proposals and the delivery of such
2.    The review and recovery of large scale Information Technology projects that were not delivering to schedule, cost, function and/or Client expectations

Ken worked extensively throughout Australia, India, South Korea, USA, England, Japan and New Zealand on Telco, Banking, Distribution and Government programs predominantly.   Additionally, whilst at IBM Ken was active in developing the technical vitality of IBM professionals, he was a member of the Certification Review Boards; an accredited Architectural Thinking Instructor and a founding/tenured member of the Technical Experts Council, Australia and New Zealand (TEC A/NZ).

Ken will undoubtedly bring, beyond his years of deep technical experience and CV of continued project execution, the right temperament and maturity to the selling processes Sales Merc Pty Ltd delivers on behalf of its growing client base.
