New Hires to Help Set Creative Direction and Guide Design of Ad Campaigns for Agency's Expanding Client Base

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Grupo Gallegos, a creatively-driven, independent advertising agency, announced today the addition of two top advertising industry creative leaders to its talented line-up.

Juan Perez and Carlos Tornell have joined the agency as Group Creative Director and Creative Director, respectively. In their new roles, Perez will be leading creative efforts for several clients, in addition to supporting new business initiatives, and Tornell will be leading creative work for Comcast while contributing to projects and functions across the agency. Both will report to Grupo Gallegos Chief Creative Officer Marty Orzio.

Perez comes to Grupo Gallegos from Blitz, where he worked on Naked Juice, CC's Pizza and Mirage Resort & Casino. Prior to Blitz, Perez spent time at LA shops Siltanen + Partners and TBWA/Chiat Day, as well as Mullen in North Carolina and Energy BBDO in Chicago. His work has been honored with various awards, including a Cannes Lion for LifeSavers and an Effie for Nissan.

Tornell was most recently a VP, Creative Director at the Young & Rubicam Group in Miami, where he led work on Dell, Hershey's, FedEx, AT&T Mobile, WinnDixie, and Wendy's. In addition to his creative leadership experience, Carlos also has an impressive record in new business, helping to win the FedEx, Wendy's, and WinnDixie accounts. Prior to his time at the Young & Rubicam Group, Tornell worked at many of the top agencies in Mexico City, including Kastner & Partners, Ogilvy, and BBDO. His work has been honored with a number of awards, including Clios for EMYCO and Land Rover, a Cannes Lion for Hot Wheels, and FIAP awards for EMYCO and Pizza Hut.

This announcement comes on the heels of the hiring of Grupo Gallegos' creative leader Marty Orzio as Chief Creative Officer in August of this year.
