Information for horse and dog owners relating to accessing to beaches in the greater Adelaide metropolitan area is now easier to find thanks to a new resource developed by Horse SA.
The project has collected information from each Council which has been collated onto a click-on Google map.
“Access information is supported by guidelines to remind beach users with animals about caring for the environment” said Horse SA Executive Officer, Julie Fiedler. “Horse and dog clubs, councils and community information websites are encouraged to link to the maps and print out the business or post card resources to share around.”
Links to maps and resources can be found here: http://www.horsesa.asn.au/trails/horses-and-dogs-on-beaches/
The project has been supported by the Natural Resources Management Adelaide & Mount Lofty Ranges.
Horse SA has, as a key goal, to make sure horses are a valued part of our Australian culture, community and business life. The organisation works at all levels of government, business and non-profit organisations through to grass roots horse owners to achieve that goal.
