Jenja Launches Upstairs at Jenja

Seminyak, September 2014 – Jenja has become the hottest go-to place in Bali for a one-stop evening out where patrons revel in its distinctively designed, ultra stylish interiors. And now, the Seminyak crowd and socialite can further celebrate the most sophisticated clubbing scene complemented by a lavish Middle Eastern dining realm, Upstairs at Jenja.

Upstairs at Jenja completes Jenja as a whole, as a one-of-a-kind dining venue for Bali that presents an inspired menu showcasing an array of exotic Middle Eastern and Asian inspired dishes created by the winner of Top Chef Middle East 2012, the young and gorgeous chef Selma AbuAlia.

Upstairs at Jenja invites gourmands into its dazzling interiors, featuring 12,000 interlinked and subtly-lit teak battens overhead throughout the main hall of the restaurant, and a wall comprised of a large stained glass mosaic. A long communal table is set parallel to an open kitchen from where you can witness Chef Selma in action.

Alternatively, cosy lounges line the perimeter where you can relax with friends over great cocktails from an eclectic list, together with tapas and bite-size Middle Eastern delights. Its semi-casual dining atmosphere can also be enjoyed alfresco, with the candlelit outdoor long table under the stars and subtle lighting from garden lamps.

Chef Selma invites you to embark on a journey for the taste buds through her fine selections of exquisite Middle Eastern cuisine that is healthy, light and organic. She takes pride in creating rich yet healthy cuisine and her innovative takes on Middle Eastern dishes will be a delightful surprise for diners, and the refined setting of Upstairs at Jenja raises the bar.

Jenja is all about experiencing, daring to try something new. Pretty teasers to share, such as crab cakes with avocado lime mousse or the to-die-for braised pork belly buns with shallots and lettuce come served on elegant wooden trays. Chef Selma’s very cool take on satay is showcased through the grilled fish satay wrap. Sinful desserts include chocolate granola and caramelised banana tequila cheesecake.

No other place in Bali provides an exquisite Middle Eastern dining experience like Jenja!

Jenja is currently open daily for dinners, from 18:00. Bookings are recommended.
