Adelaide based, national personal and commercial finance firm Savvy Financial is proud to announce its supporting partnership with national youth homelessness charity Kids Under Cover, taking part in its Donate Your Car Program.

The Donate Your Car program is a groundbreaking initiative from Kids Under Cover, a charity that has worked to prevent youth homelessness since 1989.

Since the program’s launch in 2006, 3,403 cars and vehicles have been donated.

Kids Under Cover together with platinum partner Manheim, collects donor cars for auction. 100% of the total proceeds are put towards Kids Under Cover’s home building, academic and mentoring programs.

All vehicles valued at $5,000 or more by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) are eligible for a tax deduction.

Savvy Financial CEO Bill Tsouvalas says the new program will help many young and vulnerable people out of a life of homelessness.

“There are more than 44,000 young people on the streets each night around Australia. I and the Savvy team are proud to support Kids Under Cover. I hope even more people donate their cars and give disadvantaged young people a brighter future,” Mr. Tsouvalas said.

Kids Under Cover also collects boats, trailers, caravans and motorbikes as part of the program.
