Time is running out for irrigators in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, and Victoria to be a part of the largest Australian permanent water tender. Exclusively developed and launched by Waterfind, the Australian Water Tender (AWT) provides irrigators with access to an additional 30,000ML of water.
Launched in April, the tender has gained the attention of irrigators in previously untapped regions of Queensland and attracted large volume buyers and sellers across New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.
Due to the high level of interest in the tender, Waterfind has extended the closing date to Friday 13 June, allowing buyers and sellers that have not yet registered their interest, to do so.
Identifying this additional capacity enables Waterfind to assist irrigators in many ways including building their asset value, generate increased income from the sale of surplus resources, and expand their business and crop growing potential through the purchase of previously unavailable resources.
Waterfind CEO, Tom Rooney says “I’ve been really pleased to see the genuine interest from irrigators, for this initiative. To me this shows how Waterfind has identified a need in the market and has proactively provided a way to connect and facilitate business.”
“We see this initiative as an extension of Waterfind’s mission to create positive opportunities that will develop the profitability of irrigation properties for our customers and communities in rural and regional Australia.”
