TORONTO, ONTARIO and BEIJING, CHINA -- (Marketwired) - Roger Heng, Managing Director, Asia International Group, BMO Capital Markets, has been presented with Beijing city's prestigious National Capital Award.

The award recognizes candidates for their exceptional contributions to the economic, cultural, social or environmental advancement and development of Beijing.

Mr. Heng, Head of Strategic Relationships for Asia and Deputy President of BMO China Co. Ltd., was one of just 10 candidates - people of Chinese descent who hold a foreign passport - presented with the inaugural award on May 8.

Mr. Heng has long been a champion of the BMO brand in China where, in 2008, he was awarded the "Great Wall Friendship Award" for his contributions to the city of Beijing.

Mr. Heng was born in Guangdong province and is a graduate of the University of Windsor and the University of Western Ontario.
