Friday, March 26th, 2010 - Mainpac
Mainpac Pty Ltd, the Australian-headquartered developer of software for enterprise asset and maintenance management, announces the appointment of James Kirk, as Executive Chairman and Andrew (Andy) Mason as Chief Executive Officer.

These changes follow an intense three year re-development of Mainpac’s software to meet the fast-evolving demands of businesses in Australia and selected international markets for asset management software.

Andy Mason replaces James Kirk who has assumed the role of executive chairman. James will focus on overseeing channels, business and technology alliances and the international expansion of the 26-year old company.

Mr. Kirk said “ These appointments follow changes in shareholding and management of Mainpac, both of which are aimed at growth and more robust operations to take our new generation of EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and asset maintenance software products to national and selected international markets. Mainpac remains Australian-owned and operated.”

Mr. Mason is responsible for operations, including sales, services, product development and support, with a particular focus on Australia and New Zealand.

A veteran of more than 30 years experience in the IT industry, Andy Mason joins Mainpac after a career which began in the UK with Burroughs and saw him relocate to Australia in 1982. He had subsequent senior sales, marketing, consulting and senior management roles with major companies including NCR/AT&T and Tandem across Europe, North America, Middle East and south East Asia.

Most recently he was based in Darwin providing consulting services to the NT Government on public sector IT projects. Prior to that he spent two years with SAIC, a large US-based government systems integration company.

Mr. Mason has a BSc (Hons) from the London School of Economics.

Following the re-development program, Mainpac now has solutions for small, medium and large enterprise asset-intensive companies.
