Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 - ExpoNet
ExpoNet was among the big winners at this year’s Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) NSW Awards in Sydney, taking home the award for best Meetings and Events Support Services.

The company was recognised for its outstanding provision of products and services to the conference, meetings and exhibition industry at the gala awards dinner at Doltone House on 18 March.

Jim Delahunty, CEO, ExpoNet said the award was a testament to the dedication of ExpoNet’s team of project managers, designers and production staff and the strength of its network of branches in Sydney, Brisbane/Gold Coast and Melbourne.

“The past year has been both an incredibly demanding and incredibly rewarding one for our company. We’ve successfully serviced some 400 exhibitions and events in more 100 venues across Australia and we couldn’t have achieved this without the hard work of a lot of people,” said Delahunty.

The Support Services category was judged on a number of criteria, including business planning, resource management, financial performance and contribution to the industry.

Delahunty said ExpoNet’s win capped off an eventful couple of months for the company following its change of name from Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire to ExpoNet on 1 February.

“To be recognised by a judging panel of industry experts is a terrific honour, but we are not about to rest on our laurels. The ExpoNet name indicates our direction for the future and the broad range of industry products and services we now provide, and we are working to ensure that 2010 is our most successful year yet,” said Delahunty.

ExpoNet will go on to contest the Support Services category at the MEA National Awards Night, to be held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 20 April.
