Hyundai Motor Company Australia has reached a major milestone in the company’s operational history this week, having set a new sales record. With the sale of a Santa Fe to Chloe Brookman at Suttons Arncliffe in Sydney on Wednesday, total sales for 2013 year-to-date hit 91,537 units. This is an all-time record result since the company began operations in Australia 27 years ago.
Hyundai Motor Company Australia Director of Sales Damien Meredith said: "This is an outstanding result for Hyundai, and tops off a year of record sales achievements for the company - it also places us in a strong position to start 2014, a year in which we have set ourselves even more ambitious sales targets.”
Suttons Arncliffe Hyundai also reached a sales milestone for 2013, having achieved 1,000 units year-to-date, a record result for the franchise since it became a member of the Hyundai national dealer network four years ago.
“It takes more than just great product to set records like these,” continued Mr Meredith. “Our national dealer network is exceptional, and my congratulations go out to all dealers who have maintained focus on both sales and customer service throughout a challenging and highly competitive year.”
In 2013, Hyundai Motor Company Australia achieved 18 consecutive months of year-on-year sales growth, and ranked third overall for total sales in November and third overall for passenger car sales.
