Angas Securities has announced the appointment of senior banker Chris Ward to the compliance committees for the company’s two major mortgage funds.
Angas Securities Managing Director Matthew Hower said Mr Ward had been appointed as an external member of the Angas Contributory Mortgage Fund (ACMF) and the Angas Prime Income Fund (APIF).
“Investors seek a good return on their invested funds but place considerable reliance on the presence of a robust compliance framework,” Mr Hower said.
“As a senior banker with a breadth of operational skills and experience, Chris is highly equipped to undertake this important role at Angas.”
Mr Ward held the position of General Manager Banking Operations at Bank SA for 10 years until 2012.
In addition to his new role at Angas, Mr Ward is a director of Home Start Finance (and a member of its Credit Committee and Asset and Liability Committee), a director of Australian Dance Theatre (where he chairs the Governance Committee) and a director of the South Australian Film Corporation (where he chairs the Finance and Audit Committee).
Mr Ward joins Kimley Lyons (Chair) and Nick Corbett (accountant) as existing Compliance Committee Members.
