Western Australians will be the first in the country to have state-wide access to a new smart phone application to order their McDonald’s meals ahead of visiting a restaurant.
Launched today, the My Macca’s app will allow Western Australians to create and customise their Macca’s meal anywhere, and at any time.
McDonald’s Chief Marketing Officer Mark Lollback said My Macca’s would give customers the chance to browse the full restaurant menu at their leisure, easily customise their order if they wanted to add fresh tomato or lettuce or give pickles the flick, and pay via credit card.
“Meals are then made to order when the customer has checked in at their participating store by scanning a code at devices installed in drive thrus or at an in-store mobile check-in point,” Mr. Lollback said.
“We are constantly looking at ways to deliver new technology and innovation to our customers and are thrilled to offer the convenience of mobile ordering on devices people already use every day.”
WA is the first state to launch this exciting new element to the Macca’s experience, with more to follow next year.
To thank and recognise customers who sign up to the new app, McDonald’s will be offering an exclusive deal to all new WA users. On Friday 6 December 2013 anyone ordering through the My Macca’s app will receive 50 percent off the total price of their order (available at participating stores in WA only).
“This offer is a thank-you to customers for embracing this new and exciting way of ordering their Macca’s meal.”
The app is available for Android and iPhone devices and can be downloaded via Google Play or at the iTunes app store.
