OAK BROOK, IL--(Marketwired) - McDonald's Corporation (NYSE: MCD) today announced it will contribute to Typhoon Haiyan disaster relief efforts with a donation of $300,000 USD to the International Federation of the Red Cross. In addition, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) will donate $100,000 USD to RMHC Philippines to help provide food and water for children and families in the Eastern Visayas Region.
"Our deepest sympathy goes out to all the families who've lost loved ones, including our employees, customers and suppliers and those who have been impacted by this devastation," said McDonald's President and Chief Executive Officer Don Thompson. RMHC Philippines will also work with other groups in the wake of this tragic disaster.
