The 2013 Brisbane Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane wrapped up on Saturday with the week long event attracting a stream of high profile fashionistas, designers and retailers to Brisbane's majestic and recently reburbished City Hall. MBFF Brisbane received widespread coverage in Australia and internationally and for online based fashion boutique Lalabazaar.com the festival has been a great kick start into Spring Summer 2013.
The Brisbane based online fashion boutique hit the runway on Wednesday night as part of the MBFF Group Show, showcasing their range of edgy Australian designer labels including Cameo, Keepsake, Finders Keepers, Minty Meets Munt, State of Georgia and new Western Australian label Zed Alliance. The Lalabazaar runway show attracted the attention of popular online bloggers and fashion critics such as Style Crepper, Chip The Tea Cup, Tasfia and Fabilha Reza (Inside In, Inside Out) , Jasmine Dowling (Jas + Mine) , Amanda Le and Jessica Konstantinos (Konstantinos).
Former Queensland high-fashion model and television presenter Suzie Lightfoot launched Lalabazaar in Sept 2012 along with passionate fashion lovers Toya Carter and Loren McKone. Suzie said she was overwelmed with the success of this years event . “MBFF has been a wonderful platform for us to debut Lalabazaar and showcase our top Australian stockists. Our young designer spring 2013 collection included a mix of Aussie youth designers that were edgy and street cool. The runway show was also the perfect forum for us to launch our new labels Zed Alliance and State of Georgia."
