Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural Norfolk Island Poker Tournament event organisers invite all poker players to compete in a social Texas Hold’Em tournament with generous daily prize pool.
The tournament will be held 9-13 March 2014. A highly friendly and social tournament, with optional sit and goes and standalone tournaments, players will have plenty of time for poker and to enjoy the unrivalled beauty of Norfolk Island’s beaches, stroll or bike through our magnificent rainforests, or just enjoy a break away from it all.
The birth of Texas Hold’em is officially credited to Robstown, Texas and dates back to the early 1900s. With four betting rounds and the majority of the cards face up on the table, Hold'em is “player friendly” poker variation.

There is much to see and do on Norfolk Island: fascinating historic tours, see Kingston which is a World Heritage Listed area, outdoor re-enactments of the Bounty Mutiny (with parts played by actual descendants of Fletcher Christian), ‘Light and Sound’ shows, eco-tours, glass bottom boat coral reef trips, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, dining out in the numerous fine restaurants, bush walking, scenic horse riding, golf on what has been called the world’s most beautiful golf course, bowls, tennis, and squash.
