Ian Rolfe has by popular demand, opened up to another destination the South Island of New Zealand. Photography buffs are invited to join Ian for a 12 day New Zealand workshop this fall 23 April-4 May 2014. An acclaimed photographer Ian excels at chasing the light and capturing dramatic landscapes through the lens.
Visit Ian’s favourite spots and share his tricks of the trade in capturing images of the majestic vista of New Zealand’s stunning South Island. Places are filling fast, the tour opened up two weeks ago and there are only 8 spots left on this tour.
Given his first camera at the age of 8 Ian began taking small black & white photos of family & friends & also of the regular annual holidays he went on with his family. A love of landscapes developed & flourished during a school camping safari to outback Queensland while attending secondary college.
Ian has travelled extensively in Australia, Great Britain, South-East Asia, North America, & much of the Pacific regions, where he has built up an extensive photo library used in travel brochure work & his photographic writing.
Ian is a well-known travel & landscape photographer whose column started to appear in the Photo-master magazine over 10 years ago. Since then his work has been published in numerous books, Photography magazines & travel brochures and his Panoramic Photos are currently used in a European Image Library. Ian conducts up to 12 Photographic workshops each year both locally and overseas and also gives lectures and presentations at Club level to help members who are passionate about developing further in their photographic knowledge and skills.
Many of Ian’s Photographs have won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, Best of Show, Merits and High commendations and has had over 2500 acceptances at Photographic Exhibitions both here in Australia and at International Level.
