Anthony Ervin to Stay at Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel During the Moscow Swimming World Cup

MOSCOW -- (Marketwired) -- Anthony Ervin, renowned American swimmer, plans to stay at the Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel in October during the Moscow Swimming World Cup.

Ervin recently qualified for the 15th FINA World Championships, which will be held this summer in Barcelona from July 20th to August 4th. Anthony will partake in the 50m Freestyle and 400 Freestyle relay, representing the United States.

Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel is known for its history and relation to athletics. However, the Moscow hotel's affiliation with the Olympics is not only due to its proximity to the famous Olympiiskiy Stadium. On July 3rd, 2004 The Olympic Flame was carried through Moscow and for three days the city was lit by the burning torch -- the main symbol of the Olympics. The honor of hosting the Olympic Flame was bestowed on Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel. Today, as a memorial to the presence of the Olympic Flame -- the torch that was carried in the Relay is displayed in the hotel's Health Club.

As a tribute to the Hotel's rich history, in April of 2012 the Hotel was renamed to "Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel". The hotel's unique location near the Olympic Stadium and its history fully justify this new name. The torch represents prosperity, new beginnings and new victories.

In October 2012, Ervin came to Russia for the Moscow Swimming World Cup and won a Gold Medal and two Silvers. While in Moscow, he stayed at the Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel, where he also had his professional photo-shoot by Paul Eng. Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel's Health Club is known to be one of the city's best hotel gyms and the pool is one of the largest as well, it is no wonder even professional swimmers and athletes prefer to stay at this hotel.

Ervin plans to return to Russia this fall for the Moscow World Cup and his hotel of choice is yet again the Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel.
