Hyundai continues to expand its forward-thinking Veloster range with the release of the new Veloster ‘Street’ Special Edition, inspired by the ‘Street’ concept car unveiled at the 2012 Australian International Motor Show.

The Veloster ‘Street’ special edition incorporates unique styling features that enhance the innovative and fluidic design of the standard Veloster. These include exclusive exterior Sonic Silver metallic paint, larger rear spoiler, red leather upholstery and 18” alloy wheels with distinctive red inserts.

Available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed DCT automatic transmission, mated to a 1.6-litre GDI petrol engine, the ‘Street’ also comes with upgraded sports suspension from the Veloster SR Turbo.

Unique to the Australian market the Veloster ‘Street’ Special Edition builds on the success of the Veloster range - the number one selling sports car in Australia since going on sale in February 2012.

The Veloster challenges conventional automotive design with its unique forward-hinged rear door on one side of the car, combining the stylish lines of a cool coupé with the practicality of a smart hatch. The design takes inspiration from a high-performance sports bike. Distinctive black A-pillars give the glass a motorcycle helmet visor appearance in profile, while at the front an aggressive interpretation of Hyundai’s signature hexagonal front grille and bonnet scoop detailing complete the look.
