One lucky competitor will be crowned the Sitzler Baulderstone Joint Venture (SBJV) Corporate Triathlon winner tomorrow at Lake Alexander, East Point Reserve.
The 10km cycle, 400m swim and a 3km run event has attracted 209 competitors keen to take out this hotly contested title.
With proceeds from the event to be donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, SBJV Northern Territory Secure Facilities Project Manager Ingo Niemeier said the event committee had been brimming with excitement as the day approached.
“The team has been working hard to establish this fundraising event and we’re all excited about not only taking part tomorrow and seeing who walks away with the title, but also seeing how much we have raised for the Royal Flying Doctor Service,” Mr Niemeier said.
“The local community and companies who have supported the event to raise vital funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service have been wonderful and we would not have been able to hold this event if it wasn’t for them.”
The triathlon kicks off at 8am with activities planned throughout the day including
a barbecue, children’s entertainment, prize draws and some triathlon training tip sessions.
