"As they say at Apple "there's an app for that", and renovating is no exception" says Brianna O'Neil, Owner and Senior Property Stylist at Melbourne's styled by hibernate – http://styledbyhibernate.com.au. Gone are the days of traditional scrapbooking with a world of ideas at your fingertips. Brianna discusses her "must haves" for your next renovation –

1. Inspiration
Gone are the days of cutting and pasting from interior design magazines. Social networking sites such as Pinterest and Apps such as Houzz are your first port of call when starting a renovation. Steven Kurutz of the New York Times says that "Houzz has become one of the largest resources for house porn anywhere, a Web site and iPad app that connects architects, contractors and interior designers with homeowners renovating or building a house."

2. Kitchen and Bathroom
There are many kitchen and bathroom design apps on the market which use simplified versions of CAD to construct your virtual space. If ease of use is what you are after IKEA Kitchen Planner and Reece Bathroom Planner allow you to design online using existing appliances so that all you need to do is submit the plans instore.

3. Colour
There is no question that the kings of colour are Dulux and Pantone. Dulux MyColour AU lets you match paint to your walls and order accordingly. The Pantone Colour Matching System is the universal guide to matching colour. It is predominately used for Graphic Design and print but the myPANTONE X-Ref is a handy little app to have on hand.

4. Technical
Magic Plan draws up house plans with ease (described by Sarah Perez of Tech Crunch as "pretty magical"), the (Free) Builder App has a 'get quotes' feature to source tradespeople in a 25km radius and iHandy Carpenter features a spirit level and other useful tools.

5. Decorating
Now here's the fun bit. Of course you can't go past old favourites eBay and Etsy (the craft version of eBay) but now we can add others to the list. SnapShop Showroom allows you to see a piece of furniture in your home and if you are keen for something local, the guys at Canvas & Canvas have the Happy Snap App which allows you to see their art on your walls and purchase with ease.
