SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Jun 24, 2013 -- NARR8 has done it again! The digital publisher of motion comics and interactive fiction and non-fiction series celebrates the release of their renowned story app for Kindle Fire and Amazon Appstore.
NARR8, which launched on iPad with 200,000+ downloads in its first two weeks (currently boasting over 800,000 users) was ranked No. 1 in the 'Top Free Entertainment' apps section of Apple's website and received a 4.5 of 5 stars on Google Play. The creative content channel is available in four languages and houses stories of all genres that educate and entertain readers thanks to fluid animations, original music and interactive features. With fiction and nonfiction series that include horror, fantasy, science fiction and 'edutainment,' NARR8's Kindle Fire release will include all series and genres.
NARR8's release on Amazon is the next step in the publisher's expansion to new hardware and new audiences, given that the app launched late last year on iPad and earlier this year on Android devices, and will be headed to additional devices other than Amazon later this year. NARR8 is available in four different languages (English, Russian, Spanish, and Korean) in more than a dozen countries, and its content offering is constantly expanding with new motion comics, and interactive books penned by the company's internal content studios located throughout Europe.
"We are very excited to be launching on the Amazon Appstore and bringing NARR8 interactive content to Kindle Fire devices. As one of the leading applications store ecosystems, we know the importance of being compatible to Amazon products. We highly appreciate the support that Amazon offers to apps producers and believe that NARR8 will gain new reader communities within Amazon Appstore and specially Kindle Fire users, interested in interactive novels, motion comics, nonfiction, kids edutainment content and much more NARR8 offers," said Alexandr Vashchenko president and founder at NARR8.
The launch of NARR8 on Amazon Appstore follows the announcement of an auto play update as well as monetization additions for the app, which allow readers to purchase NARR8 currency, NARRs, in addition to earning them free of charge. NARRs are used to unlock brand new features and additional content. First two episodes of every series will be free anyway.
NARR8 recently released its first lifestyle series FIVE, and its first kid's series, Qumi-Qumi with its educational children's series Panda's & Boom coming soon. The publisher also launched its third party, user-generated content Editor Tool, StoryBuilder, earlier this month. The next step in expanding NARR8's business model, StoryBuilder lets users create and upload original content to NARR8 and get their projects published directly into the app. Additionally, NARR8 will release a half-dozen brand-new series in such genres as horror, biography, and popular science later this summer.
NARR8 is free to download on Amazon Appstore, for iPad through the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
