Glenelg’s iconic vintage retro clothing store now under new ownership and new name, House of Serendipity.

Gleneig, South Australia – House of Serendipity is proud to announce that it is under new ownership as of June 1, 2013. The local retro and vintage clothing shop, formerly known as Nadia’s House of Serendipity, was purchased by Rachel Barnes who will continue to provide a fun and fashionable shopping experience for local residents and interstate visitors.

The vintage clothing store, located in Gleneig, South Australia, is well known for providing funky fashion, good quality, high-end brand clothing, and accessories that stand out from the crowd. Rachel brings a fresh new energy to the clothing boutique while she looks forward to providing the dedication, quality, value, and personalized service that House of Serendipity’s customers have come to expect.

“The Gleneig Icon continues,” Rachel says. “Stock is starting to roll in and Nadia continues to assist me with assessing which items are best suited for our customers’ needs. It’s thrilling to open up bags of long-loved clothes and accessories that people bring to us. You never know what you’re going to find!”

Retro vintage clothing has become more popular than ever, allowing consumers to create their own distinctive style while saving money. Vintage clothing is typically made from quality fabrics with exceptional workmanship and gorgeous details such as hand stitching, buttons, trims, and other embellishments that stand the test of time and can be purchased at bargain prices.

The specialty store is always looking for more stock. “If someone has clothing or accessories from a bygone era, carefully handmade or designer labeled, don’t leave it to gather dust in an attic or the back of a wardrobe,” Rachel says. “Bring in those items that are too good to throw out or simply don’t get worn anymore and reduce the clutter. Check your parents’ and grandparents’ closets. We pay cash.”
