The Tattersall’s Tiara brings the curtain down on Group 1 racing for the season at Eagle Farm on Saturday and the consistent Streama is part of a high-class line-up of fillies and mares targeting the prize.

Streama's performance in finishing third in the Stradbroke Handicap two weeks ago means her season has been extended to take in Saturday's Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara.

Trainer Guy Walter had planned to give his filly a spell in the paddocks over the winter after running in the Group 1 Stradbroke, but her impressive performance in finishing behind Linton and Buffering persuaded him to keep her ticking over for another couple of weeks.

Last year's Australian Oaks winner has been consistent in defeat this year with placed efforts in the Queen of the Turf Stakes and the Doncaster Mile preceding her Stradbroke Handicap run, and Streama will be one of the horses to beat in the final Group 1 of the season on Saturday.

She will be joined in the Tattersall's Tiara line-up by stablemate Skyerush, who has three Group race wins from four starts this year and is chasing a hat-trick following victory over the reopposing Floria in the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes on her last start in April. She was second to Pear Tart in last year's Tattersall's Tiara and bids to go one better this time around.

The 2011 Tattersall's Tiara winner Yosei, trained by Stuart Webb, will be in the line-up as she chases a first win since triumphing in the race two years ago, while Gai's Choice and Red Tracer, third and fourth in last year's renewal, are amongst the star fillies and mares set to bid for victory on Saturday.

Chris Waller's Red Tracer arrives having successfully defended her Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes crown at Eagle Farm two weeks ago with a head defeat of Floria.

There is plenty more quality in the field, not least in the highly-rated Peron who will back-up following victory in the listed Gai Waterhouse Classic at Ipswich on Saturday. That took her record to six wins from seven career starts and trainer John Thompson rates her better than Pear Tart, who he trained to win the Tattersall's Tiara 12 months ago.
