Hotel to Welcome Canine Guests for Overnight Stays and Saturday Summer Socializing

A first for the city's contemporary, LEED® Gold-certified Ritz-Carlton, the new June-through-August pet program allows for guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte to check in with dogs weighing 40 pounds or less, subject to certain conditions, pet fees and deposits. Hotel guest rooms accommodating dogs will feature a plush Ritz-Carlton dog bed, Ritz-Carlton water and food bowls, an on-floor dining mat, waste bags, chew toy and a special Bar Cocoa dog biscuit for each resident canine.
Adding to its seasonal pet offering, The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte will celebrate man's best friend during its summertime Saturday Sidewalk Socials. The Saturday Sidewalk Socials are presented directly outside the hotel's Bar Cocoa all-dessert dining experience, presenting an opportunity to enjoy Bar Cocoa's famous pastries, desserts, French macarons, gelato and iced teas in a relaxed, al fresco setting. A special section of the Saturday Socials sidewalk will be dedicated to diners with pets, with leash tie-ups, doggie bags, local dog-walking maps and Bar Cocoa dog biscuits offered to four-legged visitors.
The Saturday Sidewalk Socials complement the hotel's existing Lobby Ice Cream Socials, which are presented to every Friday and Saturday afternoon arriving guest, and which offer a complimentary tasting of fresh honey harvested from two active beehives located on the hotel's green roof. The Lobby Ice Cream Socials also feature the hotel's signature Honey Pecan Gelato, which is made from honey harvested from the hives and used for the hotel's kitchens and spa programs.
