Appoints New Team to Drive Global Sales of the Company's Smart IT(TM) Operations and Cloud Management Platform

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA and RESTON, VA -- (Marketwired) -- May 28, 2013 -- ScienceLogic, a leading provider of IT operations cloud management software, today announced it has opened an Asia-Pacific office in Sydney, Australia. The expansion follows a stellar year for the company in 2012, which saw international business grow from 2% to 18% of total sales.

"Asia-Pacific has always been a leading market for us and we have already built an incredibly loyal customer base in the region," said David Link, CEO, ScienceLogic. "Australia has often been cited as the most virtualized country in the world and with Amazon initiating an AWS presence there, we are seeing a substantial shift toward cloud-based services. This makes it the ideal location from which to further expand our Asia-Pacific business."

The team will be led by Simon Horrocks, VP Asia-Pacific and Japan, who has headed sales teams in Asia-Pacific and EMEA for close to 30 years. Most recently he led the West EMEA team at Infoblox, culminating in one of the most successful IPOs of 2012.

"The ScienceLogic Asia-Pacific team bring world class experience and know-how to the region, from firms such as IBM, HP, Cisco, and Avnet. This provides our customers an incredible wealth of knowledge in network, systems, and applications which will be a huge bonus as we help them gain visibility of their increasingly complex IT infrastructure," said Horrocks.

"Existing management tools were designed last century, and simply won't make the cut when customers need visibility in a hybrid cloud environment. Everyone we speak with is telling us they have the same problem: they are flying blind into the cloud and they need a single source of truth to help them maintain service levels across any combination of data centre and cloud resources."

The expansion could not come at a better time for ScienceLogic's existing partners. Mr. Young Cho, Director of Mobile Operating Systems in South Korea, adds "our customers are delighted with the ScienceLogic platform. It's the only all-round enterprise management platform that we could find to address today's complex IT management challenges. I'm also very pleased to see that the ScienceLogic business plan includes expansion of other offices throughout the region."
