ConnXus to Provide Tier 1 Diversity Spend Verification and Targeted Diverse Supplier Outreach

MASON, OH and CINCINNATI, OH -- (Marketwired) -- Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is pleased to announce its agreement with ConnXus, a next generation procurement platform that provides major corporations, health systems, construction firms and government agencies with a fully-integrated supplier diversity technology solution.

Cincinnati Children's has a goal to spend 7.5 percent of the medical center's annual budget for purchased goods and services with minority- and women-owned (MWBE) businesses. ConnXus will provide services to support the Cincinnati Children's Supplier Diversity efforts by expanding the medical center's access and connections to small and diverse suppliers. ConnXus will also support Cincinnati Children's spend tracking and reporting efforts by providing Tier 1 diversity spend verification services.

ConnXus recently announced a similar deal with Cooperative Services of Florida, a Regional Buying Cooperative whose members are Lee Memorial Health System, Central Florida Health Alliance, Huntsville Hospital and Sarasota Memorial Health Care System.

"This collaboration with Cincinnati Children's represents a huge step toward our goal of becoming the leading provider of supplier diversity solutions to the healthcare industry," said Rod Robinson, ConnXus founder and CEO. "As we continue to build customer relationships with committed, high quality healthcare organizations like Children's, we will be better enabled to provide the market with access to a deeper pool of healthcare-qualified diverse suppliers."

De Asa Brown, Supplier Diversity Manager, and the person who will manage the Cincinnati Children's-ConnXus relationship says that she is looking forward to working with the company.

"We are excited to work with ConnXus, one of only a few minority-owned businesses that provide a comprehensive set of Supplier Diversity solutions and works to connect large corporations like Cincinnati Children's with small and diverse suppliers to increase business opportunities," she explains.
