NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- Digital First Media today announced four employees were named to Editor & Publisher's annual '25 Under 35' List -- honoring men and women who are "representative of the type of talent this industry needs in order to thrive."

Included in Editor & Publisher's list are: Brock Berry, 33, Vice President of Digital First Media's AdTaxi Networks; Elizabeth Jones, 36, GameTimePA.com Editor for the York Daily Record and Sunday News in York, PA.; Karen Workman, 27, Breaking News Producer for Digital First Media's Project Thunderdome; and Zahira Torres, 32, Assistant Bureau Chief for the El Paso Times in El Paso, Texas.

"This is a tremendous honor for Brock, Karen, Elizabeth and Zahira. All have grown within our organization and have illustrated tremendous commitment to their craft, their peers and their respective communities," said John Paton, Chief Executive Officer of Digital First Media. "All four of them have tremendously bright futures."

Mr. Berry was selected by Editor & Publisher for leading the growth of DFM's AdTaxi platform. AdTaxi's client base grew from 70 to 1,000 in the past 12 months and Digital First Media has started representing external affiliates including The Dallas Morning News.

Ms. Jones joined the York Daily Record/Sunday News in 1998 as a part-time editorial assistant and has moved up through the sports department where she now leads GameTimePA.com -- the high school focused sports website. She is currently working to expand the site to serve all of Digital First Media's Pennsylvania markets.

Ms. Workman joined Journal Register Company in 2004 as an editorial assistant at The Oakland Press in Michigan. She was promoted to a reporter post in 2007 before being named Community Engagement Editor in 2011 where she was named to the Company's ideaLab. Ms. Workman joined Project Thunderdome in 2012.

Ms. Torres has received numerous honors for her work in uncovering rampant cheating in the El Paso Independent School District that denied Mexican immigrant students their constitutional right to an education while school administrators collected bonuses by gaming the state and federal accountability systems. Ms. Torres has since joined The Denver Post where she will cover education.
