The Norfolk Island Golf Club hosts three major golf tournaments through their golfing calendar. February Veterans tournament, August Hardy’s Pro Am Classic and a new tournament fast gaining popularity the Norfolk Island Governors Cup this November.
The Governor’s Cup is a two day tournament; 4 ball best ball Stableford, 2 person Ambrose and 4 ball aggregate Stableford. Teams of two, can be womens, mens or mixed. With daily and overall prize pool of AU$10,000 up for grabs visitors could be rewarded in more ways than one. Although organisers placate all competitors by saying everyone’s a winner as they enjoy a holiday in the South Pacific and play on one of the most picturesque golf courses in the world.
