ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA, 19 MARCH 2013 - Manufacturing Focus has secured a top three recommendation for the DTC Defence Industry Member Awards in the Outstanding SME category. The Outstanding SME Award recognises an SME that has excelled in their engagement with the defence industry to build their capability and capacity to work in Defence.
“To be recognised by the defence industry as a finalist is a significant achievement for our work in this key sector” said Mark Fusco, Manager Director of Manufacturing Focus.
Manufacturing Focus has built its national customer base around process improvement consulting, training and factory planning. The skills and methodologies honed in the competitive environment of automotive manufacturing have been successfully adapted to the defence sector.
Mr Fusco added that the company’s top three recommendation could be attributed to the focus on taking the time to understand the unique needs of the defence sector to ensure value. “There is great cost pressure occurring in the defence sector; our services are providing significant value to our customers as they move to further improve their operational performance”.
Manufacturing Focus has defence customers nationally that include companies such as Thales Australia, the Australian Submarine Corporation, J&H Williams, RAAF and PMB Defence.
Winners of the DTC Defence Industry Member Awards will be announced at the Dinner and Award Ceremony on 31 May 2013. If you are interested in further information relating to the awards and how you can be part of this event please refer to the DTC website www.dtc.org.au
