Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 - Norfolk Island Travel Centre

Norfolk Island sure knows how to put on a Ballroom Dancing festival. With total dancer numbers capped at 80, this sell-out festival being held over 16-23 June is filling up fast.

The Norfolk Island Ballroom Dancing Committee and The Travel Centre sponsor Ballroom Dancing instructors to travel to this small island in the middle of the South Pacific. Visitors travel far and wide from Australia and New Zealand and learn four of the latest dances from this year’s winning England Inventive Sequence Dances - no less.

As serious as this all sounds the festival is purely social. Dancers meet on Norfolk Island to enjoy a week of dancing and a holiday on beautiful Norfolk Island. Regular attendees catch up over a waltz and first time dancers are warmly welcomed.

The Norfolk Island Travel Centre has just released hot deals for travel priced from NZ$1050 per person twin share ex Auckland and NZ$1210 per person twin share ex Wellington/Christchurch for a seven night stay. There is much to see and do on Norfolk Island: fascinating historic tours, see Kingston which is a World Heritage Listed area, outdoor re-enactments of the Bounty Mutiny (with parts played by actual descendants of Fletcher Christian), ‘Light and Sound’ shows, eco-tours, glass bottom boat coral reef trips, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, dining out in the numerous fine restaurants, bush walking, scenic horse riding, golf on what has been called the world’s most beautiful golf course, bowls, tennis, and squash. Take advantage of Norfolk's tax-free shopping or perhaps simply take some time out to relax and enjoy Norfolk's peaceful existence.
