Roy Morgan Research last night revealed the winner of its 2nd annual Customer Satisfaction Award for Car Manufacturer of the Year at a gala dinner in Melbourne.

Throughout 2012, Roy Morgan Research surveyed over 50,000 consumers across Australia. Based on their responses, each month we awarded the Car Manufacturer with the highest proportion of satisfied customers.

Mercedes-Benz wins 2012 Car Manufacturer of the Year

In 2012 Australia’s luxury car drivers again showed high satisfaction with their cars – leaders in this category being Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Audi. But it was not solely the preserve of luxury marques – Honda, Subaru and Suzuki regularly appeared in the top five brands.

Nevertheless, a luxury marque again took home the award this year, with a consistent score of around 95% satisfied customers throughout the year.
