MMAL’s CEO, Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, said the latest Challenger range offers flexibility for customers looking for a dual-purpose vehicle.

“There’s a Challenger model to cater for every requirement, whether it’s as a reliable work vehicle or a comfortable family car with a generous towing capacity, the Challenger has it all,” Oshikiri said.

Cabin comfort has been improved across the range through the inclusion of additional sound insulation resulting in a quieter driving experience.

In the Challenger 2WD and 4WD models, side and curtain airbags are now standard, boosting occupant safety levels. Roof rails have been added as a standard feature along with USB and AUX input. The addition of leather steering wheel with audio controls and Bluetooth 2.0 phone connectivity with audio streaming makes it easier to get work done and enjoy downtime in the Challenger.

The 2WD diesel automatic Challenger comes with an optional Enhancement Pack which adds a number of extras including a reversing camera to boost driver visibility and awareness.

On the exterior, the Enhancement Pack adds 17-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, automatic folding colour-coded side mirrors, stylish radiator grille, fog lamps and rain and light sensors. Inside the cabin, the optional pack includes leather park brake and shifters, privacy glass, six speaker sound system and climate control air-conditioning.

Powered by a 2.5-litre high-power Common Rail Direct Injection Turbo Diesel engine, with three-tonne towing capacity and the choice of five-speed manual or automatic transmission there’s a Challenger to suit every requirement.

All Challenger models feature numerous safety systems with driver and passenger, side and curtain SRS airbags, Active Stability and Traction Control and ABS with EBD as standard. Four-wheel drive Challenger LS and XLS models also come standard with reversing camera, with the monitor appearing in the rear-view mirror when reverse gear is engaged.

Available colour choices for the 2WD and 4WD Challenger include Charcoal, Cool Silver, Terra Rossa, Dark Blue, White and Black. The 4WD Challenger LS and XLS colours include Charcoal, Cool Silver, Ironbark, Terra Rossa, Dark Blue, White and Black.
