In the year 2000, Sydneysiders were stunned when a mysterious bald man was seen rolling down Oxford Street in a wheel-barrow full of chocolate - introducing the world to the very first Chocolate Bar concept. Fast forward a short 12 years later and this week, Australia’s favourite and original chocolate cafe Max Brenner, will embark on another major milestone – the opening of its 30th Chocolate Bar in Macquarie Centre, Sydney.

Opening in the thriving hub of Macquarie, the new Max Brenner Chocolate Bar will continue to share the brand’s famous and unique chocolate culture with the local community. The Australian owned and operated company focuses on combining nostalgia, romance and a childlike spirit with the way we eat, see and experience chocolate – evident through its array of tempting menu items and gift worthy chocolate products available through the on-site and online Chocolate Shops.

Speaking about Max Brenner’s success to date, General Manager Yael Kaminski says; “As a brand, we’re extremely proud to be opening our 30th Chocolate Bar back in Sydney where our journey began. The day we opened was the day this country fell head over heels in love with chocolate – where it became as much about the ceremony and experience as it did the taste.”

Catering to the needs of choc-lovers across the country, Max Brenner is now open in Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria, with the aim to expand even further in 2013.

“We know our customers love spending time at Max Brenner Chocolate Bars, whether that’s enjoying a rich Hot Chocolat from Max’s famous Hug Mug or sharing a delicious sweet treat with their loved ones. We recognise the need to provide our customers with a chocolate experience that is truly unique – which is why we remain committed to evolving our iconic brand,” adds Kaminski.

The perfect destination to treat yourself or pick up a unique gift this Christmas, Max Brenner has also recently introduced their limited edition, 2012 Christmas range.
