Parents will find it easier to keep their children active and amused at home and on holidays with the new and sophisticated kids’ activity finder website, todokids, which went live only 12 weeks ago. is already jam-packed with things to do and places to go with input from nearly 700 businesses in over 900 locations. The site features thousands of activities across the state – from Byron to Broken Hill to Bega, and everywhere in between.

todokids harnesses the latest, sophisticated search technology to create a simple site that connects parents and carers with things to do based on their kids’ ages, interests, how far they are willing to travel and the family budget.

Founder and mum of identical triplet daughters, Jodi McAlary, said the todokids team had developed a user-friendly resource that families can rely on, especially in regional centres where convenient, coordinated information about children’s activities can be hard to come by.

General Manager of Newcastle and Cardiff Panthers, Arthur Kyreakou, said their Marketing Team signed up straight away because they could see how todokids would connect their business with a huge market of parents actively searching for venues that welcome kids and families.

Shane Skerly, from the franchise, Helen O’Grady Drama Academy said “todokids gives us the opportunity to show local families activities for their kids that they may not have thought of or didn’t know existed.”

“What really sets todokids apart is the free, personalised weekly Diary that collates information based on your pre-set preferences and sends you a list of upcoming events and activities perfectly suited to your family,” Mrs McAlary said. “This is known as our ‘todokids Diary’ and we are pleased to have a Patent Pending ensuring that todokids is the ultimate resource for parents and carers.”

The todokids mobile version is also available for free. Parents can check their smartphones, call up their customised todokids Diary or location map and have a plan for the day – all before breakfast.

“If you’re heading on holidays, todokids can come with you, giving you the inside scoop on what all the local kids get up to as well as the top tourist activities wherever you go.”

Driven by a desire to make life easier for families, Mrs McAlary also hopes todokids will help alleviate some of the isolation parents often feel by encouraging them to get out into their community and become involved in activities with their children.

“I was desperate for some social interaction, but time poor and new to the area, so I couldn’t easily find out what there was ‘to do with kids’ - that led me to develop todokids,” Mrs McAlary said.

“Parents can also get involved with the todokids community by providing reviews and sharing suggestions on the site or by joining the conversation on our Facebook page, .”

todokids continues to grow on a daily basis as more activity providers realise the benefits of the affordable and easy to use, automated processes that provide access to new audiences.
