Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 - FlowConnect
GrantsFlow, a leading grants management system, took centre stage at the 2009 Grants Expo to share some of their expertise with both grants seekers and makers.

The Grants Expo took place on Thursday 29th October, 2009, and was hosted by Warrumbungle Shire Council. The Expo provided an opportunity for those involved in grants management – from government to community organisations – to share their knowledge and experiences.

GrantsFlow is powered by award-winning software developers FlowConnect. FlowConnect’s Director, Adrian Iordachescu, discussed a collaborative approach within project funding. Adrian shared some of GrantsFlow’s key principles for grants administration - including robust planning and design, governance, accountability and achieving value with public money – and also explored the benefits of a grants portal for both grants makers and grants seekers.

Adrian commented: “A grants portal provides a host of benefits for grants makers. Applicants can be tracked across multiple grants applications and funding programs. The portal will also allow customised application forms as well as storage for documentation and support for pre and post-award activities.”

“For grants seekers, a grants portal improves the overall efficiency of funds seeking across the entire project portfolio. A portal can help you to monitor funds’ effectiveness by tracking beneficiaries across programs, and ensures that there is coordination and visibility across the grants seeking process.”

GrantsFlow are field-leaders in the area of grants management, and this year FlowConnect was awarded Business of the Year at the Connecting Up ICT Awards for using technology to connect to the community through GrantsFlow.

The GrantsFlow system has assisted children with additional needs across NSW by managing the funding distribution for a federal funding program through KU Children’s Services and Illawarra Children’s Services.
