The first Australian based ADCPs in Action user conference and product training will be hosted by UVS Pty Ltd at the Southport Yacht Club on the Gold Coast on October 8th-9th.
The company is jointly hosting the event with California based Teledyne RD Instruments (TRDI).
This first official Global AiA event, "ADCPs in Action in Australia" will focus on TRDI’s Marine Measurements products for coastal and deep ocean current profiling and waves measurement applications.
TRDI is a chief manufacturer of Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) and Doppler Velocity Logs (DVLs) for offshore, academic and defence applications.
The company is partnering with their global representatives in key regions to offer an unprecedented opportunity for networking and product training with access to key OEM experts from the USA.
The event will offer a unique platform for discussing applications and lessons learned from operating ADCPs “down under.”
Neil Trenaman, Group General Manager for UVS said, “UVS has attended every AiA User Conference hosted by Teledyne RDI in San Diego since its inception. We have benefited greatly from the opportunity to meet with Teledyne staff and other ADCP users to learn more about the dynamic world of acoustic Doppler measurements.
"This knowledge has been used to benefit our customers in Australia. Now we are pleased to provide the opportunity for our customers to gain first hand from the networking and workshop opportunities of a world class event to be conducted in Australia,” he said.
On hand will be product experts from Teledyne RDI who will discuss application and data issues.
Event highlights include presentation of papers by customer and industry experts on ADCP applications, data analysis, clinics, hardware demonstrations and workshops, Velocity Software demonstrations and workshops and instrument deployments, recovery and data analysis.
