Norfolk Island Travel Centre invites all Jazz fans to Norfolk Island 03-07 December for a seriously hot jazz line-up including local jazz legend Rick Robertson and renowned artists the Neilsen Gough Quartet and the Feral Swing Katz.

Rick Robertson is well known for his work with internationally acclaimed acid jazz band d.i.g. (directions in groove) and more recently with the Eon Beats Project and Rick Robertson Trio. Rick has Norfolk Island pulsing through his blood. He was born on Norfolk and is a descendant of the famed mutineer Fletcher Christian. Rick’s sublime vocals and brilliant saxophone are sure to impress.

Playing Trumpet in the Norfolk Island Boys Brass Band was Rick’s introduction to playing music. The saxophone took over a few years later and a decade of playing with bands in New Zealand was followed by study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Rick is passionate about his Pitcairn and Norfolk Island roots and has recently written and performed Mutiny Music, an entire show based on the Pitcairn Island saga, with his band Baecastuff.

Join Rick on his home turf for a top line up and unique Norfolk Island setting for what promises to be an extraordinary jazz week.
