Gusto & Élan have wowed Melbourne with their fresh take on fashion retailing, with the glitzy launch of the flagship store in Brunswick St, Fitzroy. The founders behind the concept are also directors of the label Mina & Katusha, which features in the new store. Katya Baxter and Sarina Zammit have also established distinguished runway show Made in Melbourne. Focusing on providing a platform for creative young Melbourne talent. This passion to support emerging creativity underpins the Gusto & Elan Concept.
Labels in-store include the mentioned women’s wear label Mina & Katusha alongside the likes of Ange Lang, Kathryn Beker, El Amuleto, Ange Lang, Seven Souls and Eva Q. Gusto & Élan’s men’s wear range includes Clemente & Talarico and Archie. The new season stock which includes everything from unique swimwear to festival wear and sleek casual to eveningwear, jewellery and shoes.
The vision for Gusto & Élan is to be a creative space for designers to try different styles no available in other stores. Additional promotion and exposure is part of the Gusto & Élan service. By partnering with stylists to loan designer clothes for editorial shoots and red carpet appearance Gusto & Élan will be the platform for emerging fashion labels to get into the spotlight.
Travis Walton is the talented interior architect behind the lavish fit-out at Gusto & Élan. Walton transferred the space into an amazing blend of ultra modern displays on a rustic backdrop. With such a big and striking space to work with Gusto& Élan are hoping to partner with local Melbourne brands to host exciting events and in-store experience. Always on the lookout for brands with spark that would like some exposure and to have a little fun!
The name of the store represent not only the designers Gusto & Élan acquire but also the sentiment they wish to inspire.
