3 out of 10 Australian Workers surveyed believe their boss is an ineffective leader, according to a survey completed over one year by local and international award winning corporate training company - Happening People (www.HappeningPeople.com).

The survey was based on the well-argued philosophies that an organisation is only as good as its leaders; it is the essence of an organisation and ultimately determines its success and a poor leader is a strain on even the most robust of companies and can do untold damage if left unaddressed.

Managing Director of Happening People, Samuel Day said recently “The results of the survey underpin what we see every day in organisations throughout Australia. I think the good news is Australian organisations are aware of this Leadership crisis as they come to us looking to transform their managers into effective leaders in order to secure their businesses long term viability and competitive edge.”

Research conducted by The Hays Group reported that 70% of China’s managers did not help or encourage their people and they reported worldwide that leadership accounts for 70% of corporate atmosphere and corporate atmosphere accounts for 21% of company performance.

Managing Director of Happening People, Samuel Day said recently “A company’s performance is significantly impacted by poor leadership. A great organisation can go under if effective leadership is not the focal point of its leaders.”

The survey is the focal point of this week’s coveted workplace blog by Happening People - Top 5 on Getting more Leadership from your Leader. The top 5 include; 1. Understand your leader, 2. Let your leader know what it is you want them to do; 3. Let your leader know what it is they are not doing; 4. Be the change you seek and 5. Know when to walk away.
