Australian and New Zealand startups ready to explore global opportunities are invited to apply to pitch at the International Startup Festival in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, 11-13 July 2012.

The theme of this up-and-coming festival in the magical city of Montreal is "startups that matter." The organisers are seeking "the relevant, the problem solvers, those committed to make a real difference in the world."

Deadline to apply is 4 May. However, startups affiliated with the ANZA Technology Network can receive an extension by contacting ANZA CEO Viki Forrest at [email protected]

Startups are invited to apply to pitch in one of two categories:

There will be a series of workshops, panel discussions and evening events over the three-day festival designed to attract startups from around the world to meet tech industry insiders, investors and entrepreneurs from the vast North American marketplace, Silicon Valley and beyond.

Speakers include:

Dave McClure, 500 Startups
Dan Bricklin, Software Garden
Sir Terry Matthews, Wesley Clover Investments
Chris Shipley, Guidewire Group
Sizhao Yang, Co-creator of Farmville
and many more.

The first four Australian and New Zealand companies selected will have the opportunity to demo their products on a Down Under stage.
