Thursday, March 22nd, 2012 - TRILITY
Adelaide [Thursday 22 March 2012]: TRILITY today announced that Hydramet and TRILITY have entered into an agreement for TRILITY to acquire Hydramet as part of its strategic expansion into the resources, public infrastructure and industrial sectors. TRILITY anticipates achieving financial close early April 2012.

Hydramet is a medium sized enterprise established in 1989 with an excellent reputation, blue chip clients and significant market share in its core business of delivering and installing equipment and systems for chlorination, water treatment and chemical metering. The purchase will have an immediate positive effect on TRILITY’S earnings and will strengthen TRILITY’s water utility credentials.

Hydramet operates in Western Australia, South Australia, NSW, Tasmania, Northern Territory and Victoria. The Company already has a strong presence in key Western Australian mining regions such as the Goldfields and the Pilbara where it operates a large number of facilities.

Hydramet has 48 employees, an excellent management team and a strong sales force and will operate as an individual entity under TRILITY ownership.

Hydramet currently provides a one-stop shop for design, supply, installation, training, maintenance and support. The Company also offers annual or long term maintenance and servicing contracts on all their water treatment systems. This enables immediate synergies with existing TRILITY operations, resulting in enhanced service delivery.

TRILITY holds significant market share in the municipal market for the design, construction and operation of water and wastewater treatment plants. The acquisition immediately opens a range of new growth opportunities in new markets including resources and mining food and beverage, wider industrial and public infrastructure.

TRILITY is acquiring Hydramet at a time when its products and services are in strong demand in its key market segments and there are numerous opportunities to expand geographically in order to create a national capability.

TRILITY Managing Director Francois Gouws said significant growth would be expected from the Hydramet business over the next two years.

“We believe Hydramet to be a very prosperous business with the capacity to further grow its market share over the next 18 months and, through strategic alliances and new business,” he said.

“This presents a valuable addition to the portfolio of TRILITY businesses at a time when the market shows excellent growth prospects in our existing and target markets.”
